To bring glory to God
Our highest call and primary goal for all that we do at Redeemer is the glory of God. This is the purpose of all creation, from nature, to individuals, and supremely to the church. We exist to glorify God: to bring Him honor by proclaiming with our voices, and reflecting with our lives, the beauty of His manifold perfections
...through the transforming of lives
When people are transformed by the power of God, God receives glory. When sinners are regenerated and begin to live lives that honor God, His mercy and grace are put on display for all the world to see. The church is the context in which this can most effectively take place. This transformation includes both the conversion of sinners and the ongoing growth of believers in the process of progressive sanctification.
...by the gospel of Jesus Christ
The instrument by which God transforms lives for His glory is the gospel of Jesus Christ. The wonderful message of Christ’s perfect life and atoning death on the cross is both “the power of God for salvation” (Rom. 1:16) for non-believers, as well as the eternal source of joy and motivation for growth for the believer. All that we do at Redeemer is made possible by and revolves around the gospel.
