A Seeing Miracle

Dan preaches from Matthew 20:29-34

The inability to see is both a physical and a spiritual issue. The Old Testament prophesied about the Messiah restoring sight to the blind. For God to restore sight is to say figuratively that he changes their minds and attitudes toward him. It is to view the world correctly and to value Christ properly.

Isaiah 35:4-5

4  Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not!

Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” 5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped;

The misery of spiritual blindness.

The urgency of persistent faith.

The compassion of the true king.
